Leathers Publishing is a family-owned publishing company founded in 1959 by Tom Leathers in Kansas City, Missouri. Tom was a successful publisher of The Squire newspapers for over 45 years and was actively involved in supporting the social issues of the community.

Our book publishing division was added in the early 1990s and over five hundred books have since been produced by Leathers Publishing. Our goal is to provide the highest quality work at a reasonable price, with a complete program tailored to each author¹s needs and vision. We are focused on guiding self-published authors through the complexities of book publishing, including copyright acquisition, ISBNs, Library of Congress control numbers, print production, on-line and retail distribution, marketing strategies, and more. Our staff produces well-edited text proofs, powerful cover designs and professional page layouts. After printing, our marketing plan completes the process of guiding our authors to achieve their publishing dreams.
